Mountain Rentals of Georgia provides a little piece of Big Canoe heaven every time you visit. These well appointed homes provide a getaway retreat for couples, families and friends who love nature and the outdoors. All of our privately owned luxury home rentals are located within the resort community of Big Canoe, Georgia. With the gorgeous valley views, mountain scenery and peaceful songs of nature, it is easy to just sit back and relax.

The Big Canoe Resort community is situated on seven mountains and covers of an expanse of over 8,000 acres. We have five beautiful lakes to enjoy swimming, boating and fishing. The swim club has a beach, outdoor pool, swimming lake, lake water features and slides, a rock slide, volley ball, paddle boats, paddle boards, canoes, snack bar and picnic area, all included in the amenity price. The state of the art fitness center has an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, racket ball and squash courts, and two indoor tennis courts. Lake Petit has a marina for rental of pontoon boats, paddle boats, and canoes, and fishing license, supplies, and bait; the lake is stocked with trout for some of the best fishing in north Georgia. The first class tennis facility offers both hard and soft courts, and three pickle ball courts. We have 27 holes of championship golf that winds through picturesque mountains, valleys, lakes, and streams with a driving range. We also have outdoor basketball courts, bocce ball, soccer and baseball fields, walking track, 24 miles of hiking trails and kids play area. The second outdoor pool in the Wildcat area has kids and adult pools and a pavilion.

Hiking
With over 8,000 acres, eight mountains and five lakes, the Big Canoe Resort is a wildlife sanctuary. Big Canoe has 22 miles of marked hiking trails that range from steep trails to paved hiking and bike riding trails. The nearby Dawson National Forest, Amicalola Falls State Park, and the Appalachian Trail also offer numerous hiking trails of all difficulties. Our scenic north Georgia hiking trails are abundant with mountain laurels, rhododendron, wild flowers, and wildlife, rival to any in the U.S. The Big Canoe recreation center has hiking maps of trails inside the property, and the main gate can provide maps of Big Canoe.
