It is ideally located close to amenities and is family-friendly. It is also perfect for a couples weekend or for groups. This gem is an ideal base camp for mountain fun. The Getaway is close to Big Canoe amenities, Lakes, Restaurants, Golf, Tennis, Ball Field, and the Chapel, and walking distance-to Lake Disharoon, the Swim Club, Beach, Rock Slide, Fitness Centers, and Hiking Trails. If you are in the mood to hike, you are in luck- one beautiful trail runs just behind!

This modern, spacious, property is the epitome of rustic comfort and style. Double-height ceilings create a sense of grandeur and bathe the space in warm natural light, while multiple cozy seating areas offer tranquility and rest. Living Spaces

The pièce de résistance of this property is the main living room.  Double-height ceilings let the Georgia sunshine stream in, and when night falls, the roaring open fireplace makes it the perfect place to hunker down.  Relax and take in nature in the open plan space with unobstructed views of nature as the backdrop. The living room has a cozy stacked stone fireplace, comfortable furniture and a wall of glass, perfect to enjoy beautiful mountain vistas. The kitchen is well-equipped to cook and prepare a group meal without missing the fun. The dining table seats 6, with additional seating nearby at a counter table for 3. Off the dining area is a beautiful screened porch with sitting area and TV, and an outdoor deck for grilling. The primary bedroom is on the main level (king/ensuite).  A second bedroom is upstairs (queen) and a relaxation loft. On the terrace level are 2 additional bedrooms (bunk beds)(king bed) as well as a second living room, set up for relaxing with futon sofas, games and TV. This Getaway boasts upscale linens and a coffee maker, and feels cozy while offering ample space for guests to spread out.  Located in the sought-after Laurel Ridge Neighborhood of Big Canoe.

THE AREA:
Big Canoe is an 8,000-acre wildlife gated community in the hardwood forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains just north of Atlanta, offering over twenty-four miles of maintained hiking trails and plenty of wildlife including deer, black bears, and turkey. With seven mountains and five lakes, the community has a beautiful backdrop for its three championship golf courses, fourteen tennis courts, three swimming pools (one Big indoor), swimming lake (with beach, paddle boats, canoes, & paddle boards), stunning mountain lake (with marina, fishing & rental pontoon boats) and first class wellness center and basketball court. As a renter, you have access to all of the Big Canoe amenities paid directly for each amenity. I'm sorry, but we do not offer any passes with the rental. We are more than happy to offer our recommendations about the local area and answer any questions you have about the home or the community. OCCUPANCY:
This unit allows 10 overnight guests. Feel free to have guests over, however, in compliance with the city regulations, there cannot be more than 10 people overnight in the unit at any given time. Over occupancy may result in eviction.

RESORT-LIKE AMENITIES:
We have 3 golf courses, 5 lakes, hiking trails, a wellness center, yoga, indoor & outdoor pools, sauna, saline whirlpool, tennis, pickleball courts, bocce courts, Jeep Trail, beach & water slide. The Fitness Center with an indoor heated pool, Chapel, and Swim Club with an outdoor pool, beach, swimming lake, and water slide are next to this neighborhood.

PARKING:
Two vehicles can park on the driveway directly in front. Additional parking across the street in community overflow lot.

COFFEEMAKERS:
Keurig and drip coffeemakers.

FIREPLACE:
Fireplace is wood burning (not gas), guests are welcome to bring firelog or firewood. 

**CLEANING PROTOCOLS**    A housekeeping fee will be included on all reservations. This fee will vary in price based on the size of the property. The house is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival. Please inspect it at check in and call housekeeping at in the event something is unsatisfactory. As we will send housekeeping back to the property to re-clean the reported areas, no refunds will be given for housekeeping issues. There is no fee within the first 24 hours to return and address the issue.  All cleaning is done by professionals who use advanced cleaning practices and disinfectants.  We maintain excellent cleaning standards and pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests, with photos of each room to ensure clean is up to highest standards.  We fight fabricated claims for discounts with our extensive documentation on the house and post names to web for the protection of other hosts. :-)  This beautiful home is not pet friendly.  :-)  

GATHERINGS:
We know you are coming to Big Canoe to have a good time, but out of respect to the other tenants and neighbors, this property has a strict No Party policy.

QUIET HOURS:
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all persons in their unit.

SMOKING:
Smoking of any kind is not allowed in the unit. There will be a minimum $250 penalty fee if it is determined that there was smoking in your Cottage during your reservation period.

MINIMUM AGE:
Guests named on the reservation must be 30 years or older. By booking a reservation, you represent and warrant that you are 30 or older. The name on the reservation must be present at check-in and throughout the duration of the stay.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT:
Check-in time is at or after 4pm and check-out time is prior to or at 10am. Early check-ins and late checkouts are based on availability and can be requested one day before. Additional fees may apply.

CANCELLATIONS::
Cancellation charges are as follows: rental payments are fully refundable until 14 days prior to the reservation arrival date (less credit card fees).  If 8-13 days prior to the reservation, 1/2 the total rent and tax can be refunded.  Less than 7 days: cleaning and pet fees can be refunded.  We will do our best to work with each guest.  We have many repeat guests so we try to take care of each and every one.

SECURITY:
This home only has outward facing security cameras. There are no cameras inside the home.
