Very nice home base for playing some golf in the area and watching the Masters. Big Canoe is a very nice community with excellent amenities. We had a nice lunch on Saturday at the Black Bear Pub. Nice staff, good services and food. The check in process with door codes etc. worked seamlessly. MHRG does an excellent job with communication and responsiveness. My only recommendation is that the property is in need of some decor updates and a couple new fry pans.

The space was so cozy and inviting. There was more than enough space for 8 people. The location is good as local shops were about 10 mins away. Kitchen was fully stocked and had all the major appliances. I also loved that every room had its own bathroom and there was even a half bath for guests. Love the outdoor balconies. Only complaint is I felt mislead expecting an outdoor jacuzzi, but it was just a jetted bathtub in the master. Aside from that a wonderful start. Also guest services was super responsive.

Cozy and comfortable with enough space to spread out for family of 8. Would have liked more wash rags and towels for each bathroom and bath mats in front of showers and tubs. Light in master bedroom needs bulb to be replaced. The fan turned on but the ceiling light would not. Cozy, clean stay all in all and would come back!

Great stay with two families. House felt big and had a large backyard with wooded views. Plenty for kids to do at Big Canoe and one nature trail was easily walkable from the house. Great communication and overall really enjoyed the trip.

This is the second time in as many trips we have stayed at the Elk Horn lodge. We love the location near the south gate with the golf course and lake close by as well. It is always clean and well stocked with basic kitchen needs. The house was the lerfect size for our group of 6 and easily could have accommodated more people. Im sure we will be back again next year!

This property is as advertised. Really nice in a very nice community. IGA is a great grocery store. Because of the toddler we chose to do small outings and eat most meals at the property.

Absolutely a beautiful home to rent for our family. Spacious living room and kitchen. Loved the screened in porch off the master. Very cool pool and beach club if you have kids. Quiet and on a nice pretty flat long road so we could walk in the morning. Close to the club house and quick jaunt to the grocery store.

This house is comfortable, quiet. Excellent for family reunions and celebrations like Thanks Giving. The surroundings are picturesque. we enjoyed lots of nature and walking trials.

My family and I decided last minute to visit Big Canoe for a long weekend. This property was every bit as advertised and an amazing rental for my family. Very clean and plenty of space with nice amenities. We had everything we needed in the kitchen whichnis not always the case. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a nice option in Big Canoe.

This home is beautiful, spacious and beautifully decorated. It offers everything you could want for a family getaway. The multi levels allowed space for private times as well as a large kitchen and dining area to come together for meals. The multiple decks and outdoor areas allowed us to enjoy the crisp fresh air. The management staff were so nice and went above and beyond for anything we needed. Although we were here for wedding arrangements, we also managed a very needed work break for all of us. We will most definitely be back. A truly wonderful weekend!

We had four couples and the layout was great. Plenty of room to be together or steal a few moments and be alone. Love all of the fireplaces, inside and outside. Great location! Short drive to apple orchard, vineyard, shops, and food. Would recommend to others and look forward to going back!

We stayed for a long weekend over the Christmas holiday and it couldn’t have been more perfect! We had an issue figuring out the main fireplace and called for maintenance, and they came out immediately, and also sent the propane company to refill the gas just in case. The house itself was beautiful, clean and even larger than the photos. Can’t wait to come back!

We were amazed by this spacious cabin located in a stunning gated neighborhood that reminded us of a national park. Before our arrival, there were power outages due to a storm and the host called and kept us posted until the power was back on. We were appreciative of the thorough communication. The area where we stayed had tons of walking trails, 3 dog parks, and a massive lake. We will be back!

We rented Elk Horn for a weekend "girls" college reunion gathering. The house slept 6 comfortably, with room for more, was nicely furnished and had all necessary kitchen supplies. There is a nice view but the house is at a low altitude compared to much of Big Canoe so no one got lost going to and fro. We appreciated the nice level walk around the charming neighborhood and the easy drive to the clubhouse where we enjoyed several good meals. The ladies also enjoyed a pontoon boat ride, Home Restaurant, the close by consignment stores and shopping and dining on Main Street in Jasper. The Jasper merchants look forward to our return, I think, and so do we!

Our stay at Elk Horn over the last few years is ideal for our family and friends. Our recent stay 9/26-10/26/16. The first week we had six family members, we enjoyed Oktoberfest in Big Canoe it truly fun event. There is always something to do fishing, hiking, going on jeep trail, or the doggy park. We enjoy walking around Choctaw Village. People are so friendly. There are many fall festivals in the surrounding towns. The house it self is really comfortable, large living room gas fireplace (total of 3).Nice comfortable furnishings. My favorite fireplace is on the screened porch off the master bedroom, delightful on fall morning or evenings. There is a full kitchen everything you need to cook, pots, pans, beautiful dishes, mixer, coffee pot and wine glasses. There is a complete family room downstairs includes small refrigerator, wine cooler and microwave and fireplace. There are two bedrooms one with bunk beds and bath. the another with a queen and bath.. Family said they were very comfortable.. Upstairs we enjoyed having the great room open to the kitchen and being able to interact with our guests. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a lovely en suite, guests find it very comfortable and quiet. The first floor master bedroom is comfortable, with a lovely en suite. We enjoyed visiting the club house sitting on the veranda watching the sun set over Lake Scotti. We have appreciated Mountain Home Rentals of GA. the managers do a great job to facilitate and take care of any problems that might arise. We are looking forward to spring, it truly is beautiful time of the year. Visiting Gibbs Gardens in the spring is a must. The daffodils and flowers are remarkable just five miles from Big Canoe..

Elkhorn was perfect for our large group. Grandchildren had plenty of room downstairs for activities & sleeping. Loved the location! Perfect for golfing & beach only 1 1/2 mi. away. Loved sitting on deck & walking trails nearby.

This is a beautiful home and was perfect for three familes to share during our family reunion at Big Canoe. Five grandchildren from 1-10 enjoyed the bunk beds and finding a huge bag of legos and other games in the lower family room. It was nice having a master suite on the first floor. The location is good for getting to golf and all the activities at the swim club.
