Lakeside Cottage

The owner has thought of everything in regards to upgrades and amenities for this Villa! We have stayed in 4 different locations around Big Canoe and this is by far the nicest! Love the porches, updated bathrooms, kitchen stocked with anything needed for cooking meals, beds are comfortable, furnishings and decor are very nice, and Lakeside Village area is very quaint, quiet, and relaxing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the view. Unfortunately, the first night of our stay, a very strong storm with tornado winds caused damage in the lower level (which is one reason I selected this home), preventing us from using that area most of our 3 day stay due to the wet condition. The management company was very quick to respond to my emails alerting them of the storm damage, and a local homeowner and representative showed up to assess the damage. A handyman was sent the following day to finish putting a couple of screens in place that my husband couldn't finish without tools. We chose to go ahead and repair the windows and dry off the furniture so that no further damage would occur. We were very pleased with their responsiveness. We would recommend this rental home. Beautiful setting an plenty of room with 3 bedrooms and 3 - 1/2 baths.

My family had an amazing time at lakeside cabin in Big Canoe. We celebrated all 4 of my family’s August birthdays here. It was relaxing and fun. We really enjoyed the downstairs and connect four tournaments! The living room tv was the only one we could get to work but by bedtime we were so tired we went right to sleep.

This home was exactly as advertised. Our family of 6, was comfortable for nice 2 day getaway. The home was clean, with nice finished, and the view was great. We enjoyed playing games by the fireplace (purchased our own wood). The host had a Connect 4 game we found downstairs and we played several games each day. The neighborhood was quiet and such a beautiful drive. Only complain was hot water seemed to only work well in the primary bathroom. Two of us it children tried to shower the first night in their bathrooms and we de up taking cold showers. Problem solved by having everyone shower in the master.

Thank you for your kind words and staying with us! We had the hot water checked through the house and no the tech found no issues for hot water in the showers. The tech suggested that as the house is on a hot water heater the showers need to be staggered. We appreciate you, and wish you a blessed 2024! :)

We really enjoyed this beautiful house and the view of the golf course and lake. It’s within walking distance to the clubhouse, golf course, walking trails, community center and rock slide. As if that wasn’t enough, it has a gorgeous enclosed, air conditioned back porch with tv, comfortable sitting area and outside dining table. If you like the outdoor breeze instead you can turn off the a/c and enjoy the screened in porch. It was so comfortable and our whole family truly enjoyed staying here.

Really poor communication with the group Jurney handling check in process. Calls to the property manager who was very helpful and responsive. After a couple of calls check in information and details secured. Really great house, peaceful setting. Plenty of trails to walk. The only part of the process was check in information which the rental agent was able to clarify with the group handling the process

This home is very well designed and equipped to comfortably accommodate family and friends, providing many options for privacy or communal gatherings as desired. Great beds, bathrooms and kitchen supplies. Easy access in and out of Main Gate and very near the golf course and other amenities like parks, beach, and marina.

The house is located a very short drive to all that Big Canoe has to offer and a short walk to the Clubhouse. The lake off the back of the house is not for water activities, but is a great view and setting for the stay. The code for entry briefly did not work but they were great about helping us quickly work through the issue. Strongly recommend and we will return.
